Abomination is the ultimate merge between a strategy game, action game, and role play game. You are in charge of a special forces team assigned to eradicate an army of evil cultists. You have a wide variety of available team members, and some have special abilities. At the start of each mission, you select which 4 team members to send on the mission and determine how you want to equip them. You cannot send the same team member out too many times in a row because he will tire and lose life energy, so you have to alternate between selected team members so they can rest. As each mission is accomplished, you gain experience points that you can assign to increasing the skills and abilities of your team members. As the campaign progresses, you gain new weapons and items of equipment. During a mission, team members search for and pick up items they can use, but each team member has a limit on the amount of weight he is allowed to carry. Although the game is 2 dimensional, the graphics are awesome. The game contains hundreds of different maps and hundreds of unique missions. This game provides the most entertainment for your money of any game I have yet found. Abomination is published by Eidos.
